RIP Catari and Kalmar
Sorry to say, but the guardian and defiant leveling guides developed by the 2 aforementioned folks are no more. As a result I’ve had to take down those 2 particular posts relating to said guides and replaced them with information over (in my opinion) the far superior Rift Supremacy Guide. Not only does it deal with both defiant and guardian leveling but it also has video guides for all 50 levels, something the other 2 guides didn’t have. So basically you get the other 2 guides wrapped into a nice package with videos to boot. Not a bad alternative I reckon.

Those nice chaps at Trion are giving everybody a free go at RIFT for 7 days. A try before you buy option which should appeal to those of you of a more reluctant nature who like to dip their proverbial toe in the MMORPG lake instead of diving straight in. You basically get your own Rift Walkthrough before making any sort of commitment.

- Xerxes Rift Mastery Guide. This is a general guide that is particularly useful for beginners as it provides a step by step approach to working your way through the game.
- Kalmars Rift Guardian Leveling Guide. As the name suggests this is a thorough leveling guide for those that wish to go down the Guardian route Sadly No More
- Catari’s Rift Defiant Leveling Guide. Same as the previous guide but this time for those of a Defiant persuasion Sadly No More
- Tony Sanders Rift Blueprint. This guide has a focus on providing tips to enhance game play including learning ”the Best Abilities, the Fastest Play Styles, and the Most Fun Strategies for Any Character Type”
All of these guides will enhance your game playing experience and obviously it’s down to you, the game player, to decide which is the right strategy guide for you. I personally would recommend Xerxes Guide due to the fact that it is so chock full of information and is particularly “beginner friendly”
Latest Rift News
There has been a recent release of a new Rift Walkthrough guide called Rift Supremacy. This looks very promising as its main selling point is that you get a complete video guide that will show you the fastest route all the way to level 50! This may well be the biggest challenge to all those fully established Rift Strategy Guides that have been dominating the market for the last few weeks.
