cant make a trion account (rift)?
i was trying to get the free trial for rift but it wont let me sign up because it says im not eligable… and i cant go back and see what i did wrong… is there anyway i can still get the free trial?!?!

hey i quit WoW and now i wana start playing RIFT but i wont be able to start for like another month so i was wondering it they have or will unlease some sort of trial for it

Yes it will. Pretty same as WoW Cataclysm which didn’t had a 10days trial instantly after it was released. It is unknown when Rift Trial will be available yet.

Why cant I download DirectX?
Ok, so my last post of this did not include enough info. I am trying to update my Direct X so I can play the Rift trial this weekend. However, when I try to update DirectX, it tells me an internal system error has occured and tells me to refer to DirectX.log. I accessed this file via “Run” and the top line says: “DXSetup: No command line switch”. I am not sure what a command line switch is as I am not the best person in the world with computers. I have tried to download DirectX via Rift and the official microsoft DirectX website, getting the same result from both. I am currently running on Windows Vista and I’m not entirely sure which DirectX Rift is trying to get me to download, though the program asking permission to download it is called DirectX SMP (Is that a version of DirectX?). Please help me get this resolved. Thanks.
I tried Dxdiag, it says I have DirectX11, so whats the problem? (I’m running on vista as i’ve also said)
I checked again and Rift says Directx9 install needs to be up dated, so I’m still in the dark.

What are you system’s specs?
Run Windows Update and make sure you have the latest service packs, critical updates, and all that.

Edit: I know it’s confusing but DirectX 11 isn’t exactly a higher version of DirectX 9. They really are separate products and that confuses a lot of people because they do share the name.

Rift or Aion to buy 
?
Hey Guys,
So im looking to buy a new MMORPG, and i think these two look really cool. Ive tried downloading the trials, but neither of them work on my computer for various reasons, and i think the install via the disk would be easier 
(The downloads take too long and end up crashing)
I like WoW but got bored of it after catacyslm, and I dont really get into PvP that much… So overall in your opinion as a game, which is more fun, aion or rift?

AMD Phenom ™ II P920 Quad – Core Processor 1.60 Ghz ??? Does that mean i cant play it because ive only got 1.60 and i need 2.0 ?

Alot of former WoW players switched over to Rift, and having played it myself, it’s easy to see why.

RIFT SERVER QUESTION?
hey i got one of the trial keys yesterday and i entered it and downloaded the game then patched it then it wouldnt let me on so today i decided to uninstall it and then re-install it and now i have to download a extra patch that will take a undetermined number of hours anyways now that ill be able to play for roughly 2 days i wana no whats good Defiant dominated pvp server in the game and im also planning on being a necromancer, pyromancer, and elementalist so i wana no if theres any problem with those or that combo

Hmm, this answer might be coming in late with your trial, but as far as Defiant dominated pvp, I would pick a realm that is the type you like, narrow that down by population, then do a google search on the remainders for forum postings about the server. As far as that soul combination goes, necromancer and elementalist probably wont go well together as they are both pet classes and pets from the necro tree benefit from necro talents, same with the elementalist.
